about
“Our protagonist blacks out and wakes up in a hospital bed. The doctors have filled him to the brim with medication of every variety and his memory lets go of the few remaining thoughts of the dark times in his apartment. With the ethically approved drugs flowing through his veins, he fades in and out of consciousness. He dreams of the most perfect date, with the most perfectly imperfect girl, on a gorgeous day in the park. He is filled with an unrivaled feeling of joy as the two of them enjoy one fun, carefree activity after another.
The opiates are in full effect and our protagonist has reached complete euphoria. He doesn't have a single worry in the world.”
lyrics
VERSE
Walkin' Cathy in the park down on Main Street
Hand-in-hand, skipping stones, what a real treat
Layin' down underneath the big ol' oak tree
Tryin' hard not to laugh when she tells me
CHORUS
I don't like John Fogerty and
Sgt. Peppers wasn't that cool to me
And I don't know much about geography but
Where we are now is the place to be
VERSE
Teradactyls are a mystery
We've all got hearts and I'm not sure why they beat
I don't care much about biology
But you and me together is the way it should be
CHORUS
I don't like John Fogerty and
Sgt. Peppers wasn't that cool to me
And I don't know much about geography but
Where we are now is the place to be
So let's skip on down through the meadow
Walk our dogs while the summer breeze blows
Take our chances, let it all go
Try not to laugh as we tell the whole world that
We don't like John Fogerty and
Sgt. Peppers wasn't that cool to me
And I don't know much about geography but
Where we are now is the place to be
